Job summary

Child Development Schools in Greenbrier, AR is seeking an Assistant Teacher to help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will partner with the Lead Teacher to support young learners through meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth.

You will engage with children during activities, meals, transitions, outdoor time, and you will build relationships with families through daily communication, maintain a safe and organized

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.
• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
