Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Liberty Township is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our childcare team. You will support teachers and families, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, in line with state guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

As an Assistant Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
