Who You Are

The Assistant Teacher plays a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. Working closely with the Lead Teacher and classroom team, the Assistant Teacher supports daily classroom routines, curriculum implementation, and child development while modeling professionalism, accountability, kindness, and positive guidance. Assistant Teachers are expected to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, seek support when needed, and view feedback as an opportunity for growth.

Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Flexible scheduling to support school schedules
  • Center hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • No nights, weekends, or holidays

  • Support appropriate staff‑to‑child ratios and communicate with the Site Manager when support or adjustments are needed
  • Accurately complete required documentation, including daily sheets, meal tracking, accident reports, medication logs, and Procare communication
  • Warmly greet children and families at arrival and departure
  • Communicate clearly, positively, and professionally with parents about their child’s day
  • Work collaboratively with co‑workers, adapting to different working styles and supporting team success
  • Remain current on required training and professional development hours
  • Demonstrate openness to feedback and a desire to improve skills and knowledge
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
