Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our warm, caring classrooms. You will support the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate activities, create a safe and organized learning space, and engage with children and families daily to foster growth and curiosity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Background check required.
• Experience with young children preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
