The Learning Experience – Byron Center is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support classrooms serving infants through preschoolers. You will help create a safe, engaging learning environment and assist lead teachers with daily routines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior childcare experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily classroom routines and learning activities.
• Support developmentally appropriate experiences for children across age groups.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Guide children through transitions including meals, rest time, and learning centers.
• Prepare classroom materials and support group activities.
• Encourage positive social interaction and classroom participation.
• Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies.
