The Goddard School of Chester Springs, PA is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs and maintaining a safe, stimulating classroom. Join a collaborative team that values energy, enthusiasm and creativity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience in licensed childcare/preschool setting
• Empathy and compassion for young children
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass state background checks and meet state requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment
