The Child Development Department supports school readiness for low-income children and their families, aiming to build social competence.
Minimum qualifications include a current CDA or equivalent, one year of experience with children birth-5, effective communication skills, and physical ability to perform job duties.
Preferred qualifications include experience with diverse populations and bilingual abilities.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting children up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and moving quickly when needed.
Background checks, health exams, vaccinations, and on-the-job training in child abuse, first aid, CPR, and other areas are required.
