Job summary

Community Teamwork in Lowell, MA seeks an Assistant Teacher to support a Lead Teacher in fostering each child’s development and family engagement. You will analyze assessments to drive curriculum in a caring, safe classroom aligned with Head Start and MA EEC standards.

You will guide other educators, maintain records, and facilitate parent involvement while ensuring health, safety, and developmentally appropriate practices are upheld.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication with diverse families.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires CORI/DCF and fingerprinting before employment.
• Infant/Toddler and Preschool lead teacher certifications or equivalents required.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher to meet developmental needs of children.
• Ensure classroom compliance with Head Start, NAEYC, MA EEC regulations.
• Lead curriculum implementation to support school readiness.
• Maintain health/developmental screenings and required records.
• Engage parents through conferences and home visits.
