Job summary

Clever Bee Academy is seeking a caring Assistant Teacher to support classroom learning and help create a safe, nurturing environment for children in Akron, OH. You will work closely with the Lead Teacher to support daily activities, classroom organization, and positive relationships with families.

This role is ideal for someone starting or growing a career in early childhood education, offering hands-on experience, mentorship, and potential growth through our CDA program and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise children during daily routines, outdoor play, and center activities.
• Communicate positively with families to support relationships and share updates.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and materials.
