Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Assistant Teacher 2 for the Child Care Program in the University Child Care Center (0385). This role helps supervise daily activities and supports long-term planning with the classroom team to meet children's developmental needs.

You will assist in implementing classroom programming, routines, and procedures while complying with health, safety and CACFP requirements; growth opportunities and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Assist in supervising and integrating daily and long-term planning for the classroom.
• Ensure social, emotional, physical and educational needs of children are met.
• Follow center policies, curriculum and state licensing rules.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementing, evaluating, and communicating classroom programming, routines, and procedures.
• Assists in management of classroom by completing paperwork, training, evaluating staff, and problem solving with team and parents.
• Implements health, safety and security processes and procedures including CACFP meal counting.
• Participates in professional development and on center wide and university teams.
