Job summary

Learning Care in New York is hiring Assistant Teachers to support daily care and learning in a child care setting. You will follow licensing guidelines, create a fun, organized classroom, and communicate with families. You’ll receive extensive training and opportunities for credential assistance and tuition reimbursement.

This role is Monday–Friday with no nights or weekends, and benefits include immediate health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in activities with children.
• Strong communication with families about child progress and daily care.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure daily care of every child.
• Develop ability to observe, assess, and plan for children and communicate with families.
• Complete extensive training on childcare, preschool and child development topics.

Assistant Teachers:

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay $18.13-$18.83 hourly, Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options; based on Position, Education and Experience / any other compensation offered
• Immediate Health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time-off and 401K (plus company match) provided for full-time employees.
• Limited medical offered for part-time workers.
• Education assistance including tuition reimbursement and certification available to all employees
• Monday-Friday work week
