Responsibilities include classroom management, implementing lesson plans, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment while supporting staff and the Director’s guidance.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of child care experience, especially with children under 5.
  • Pleasant, friendly demeanor and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with students of all ages and skill levels.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children.
  • Implements lesson plans and activities that promote physical, social, and emotional growth.
  • Prepare materials and classroom for activities; ensure safety and order.
  • Attend required staff meetings and school functions as determined by the Director.
  • Maintain professional appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; support early education goals.
  • Be available for early morning or closing shifts.

We are specifically looking for individuals with prior experience working with infants and toddlers.

A teacher assistant is responsible for general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children. The Teacher implements the lesson plans which includes activities for children that stress physical, social, and emotional growth and provides materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in active play. The Teacher prepares materials and classrooms for class activities and conducts all activities in a safe, organized, and productive manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children

  • A commitment to nurturing, inspiring, and delighting the children in your care
  • A passion for creating lifelong learners
  • Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
  • Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director
  • Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
  • Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work early morning or closing shift
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
  • 1+ years of child care experience, specifically with children under the age of 5.
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to interact with students of all ages and skill levels
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
