Job summary

Kidzland Child Care Center in Sayreville, NJ is seeking a warm, patient Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our caring team. You will help provide a safe, nurturing environment and support age-appropriate activities that align with our play-based curriculum.

You will assist with daily routines, monitor children's well-being, and communicate regularly with families and staff to promote a positive learning atmosphere. This role offers afternoon shifts and room to grow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years of childcare or early childhood education experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities based on our curriculum
• Support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development
• Maintain positive and professional communication with families and staff
• Assist in daily classroom routines and respond to children's needs
• Ensure compliance with all state regulations and center policies
• Be flexible and available to cover shifts when other teachers are on vacation

Requirements

• Experience working with young children (preferred)
• Caring, patient, and compassionate personality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable and organized
• Flexibility in scheduling is a plus
• Commitment to fostering a positive and educational environment

• High School Diploma (required)
• Preferred but not required - 2 years of experience in a childcare or early childhood education setting
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Effective classroom management and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic classroom environment
