Job summary

Merryhill School seeks an Assistant Teacher to support lead teachers in a warm, developmentally appropriate classroom. You will help with daily routines, student learning, and creating a positive classroom culture.

Responsibilities include supporting social-emotional development, collaborating with staff, communicating with parents, and maintaining a safe, engaging space. State licensing and background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and follow lead teacher direction
• Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Must meet all state licensing and background clearance requirements
