Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will work with the Lead Teacher to support young learners through meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model, and a key part of a collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher with delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
