Role: Assistant Teacher

Children's Land of Palatine is seeking a compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our family and team-oriented organization. At our beautiful facility, we provide a warm and welcoming developmental environment for children from infants to kindergartners, supported by thematic learning and fun activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities that are thematic, engaging, and meet high-quality standards.

• Support the assessment of each child's development, tailoring the curriculum to meet diverse needs.

• Contribute to a warm and safe classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

• Maintain open and empathetic communication with parents and guardians, offering regular updates on their children’s progress and daily activities.

• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training workshops.

• Help manage classroom resources, ensuring all materials are readily available and well-maintained.

• Consistently monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a cohesive and effective learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in assisting with teaching children in a preschool or similar setting.

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

• Familiarity with educational and safety regulations in childcare.

• Demonstrable understanding of diverse educational methods and practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and nurturing.

• Physical ability to engage actively with children.
