Job summary

The Goddard School located at 161 Millburn Avenue, Millburn, NJ 07041 is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher, implement engaging age-appropriate lessons, and maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment. You will help develop social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills, prepare materials, and communicate with families about daily activities and progress.

High school diploma required; ECE degree preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; background checks

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet state background checks.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children, works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement.
