The Goddard School in Georgetown (Williams Dr) is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging, age-appropriate lessons and a safe, stimulating classroom environment.

We value energetic, nurturing individuals who can foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with advancement opportunities within our premium educational program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience working with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and participate in caregiving activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children.
• Assist in communicating with parents about child's progress and activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Support routine child care tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment
