Cambria County Child Development Corporation is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our classroom team. You will support lesson planning, help implement age-appropriate activities, and monitor safety and engagement, ensuring a welcoming learning environment.

You will work closely with lead teachers to adapt activities for diverse learners, maintain student ratios, and assist with daily routines, transitions, and documentation to support program quality.

Job description

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for participating in a cohesive teaching team, assisting with the coordination of curriculum, and helping to assist in management of the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. This includes, but is not limited to, structuring and implementing lesson plans to ensure developmentally appropriate programming, developmentally appropriate transitional activities, and maintaining the appropriate child/staff ratio. Assistant Teachers must understand the children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged.
