Job summary

Teacheroo is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment for young students. The role supports safety indoors and outdoors, adheres to state regulations, and collaborates with staff to deliver foundational language, literacy, and numeracy activities.

  • Be familiar with Type II state regulations, school policies, emergency procedures, and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Report observations and incidents promptly to appropriate staff.
  • Supervise children closely in classroom, on playground, field trips, and transitions.
  • Maintain equipment, materials, and records to meet health and safety standards.
  • Assist with diaper changing, bottle feeding, snacks and meals with hygiene and safety in mind.
  • Foster social-emotional development and a respectful environment.
  • Support development of appropriate social behaviors through modeling and intentional teaching moments.
  • Adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs and engage students individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement curriculum and reinforce learning goals.
  • Attend staff meetings and required professional development to remain compliant with guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, squatting, pushing, and/or pulling. Generally the job requires sitting, walking, and standing.
