Job summary

Amergis is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance in a school setting in Avon, CT. This 35-hour per week contract offers $18 per hour pay.

Under supervision of the special education department and teachers, you will provide direct student support and assist with mobility and therapeutic care needs. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CPR certification if applicable, and compliance with all relevant standards and

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
