Job Description:

As a Teacher at the Primrose School of Alpharetta East (located at 5425 McGinnis Village Place, Alpharetta, GA 30005), you will help young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Teachers to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Our School is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily classroom functions for a group of children.
• Observe all policies and regulations related to health, safety, and care of children, complying with local, state, and national regulatory agencies.
• Continuously assess each child's developmental needs.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules based on the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Coordinate parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with the Leadership Team.
• Create and maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom environment that encourages exploration and decision-making.
• Provide verbal recognition and foster positive behavior expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
• Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
• Adhere to professional appearance guidelines as per the Employee Handbook.
• Assist in other duties as determined by the Director or designee.

• Experience with Infant and Early Preschool age classrooms.
• Availability for various full-time shifts Monday through Friday (school hours from 7 am to 6 pm).

• Passion for working with children and ability to work well in a team.
• Meeting basic requirements of local child care regulations.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
