Job summary

Ocean Community YMCA in Mystic, CT is seeking an Assistant Swim Team Coach to support our competitive program. You will work with the Head Coach to lead practices, assist at meets, and foster a safe, positive environment for our young swimmers.

The position is part-time, non-exempt with a pay rate of $17.34 per hour. Candidates should have competitive swim experience and hold or be willing to obtain lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid and YMCA swim certifications.

Qualifications

• Competitive swim team experience.
• Lifeguard, CPR, AED, First Aid, and YMCA swim certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Passion for youth mentoring and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Be on deck during practices and meets.
• Assist with team training and development.
• Support swimmer safety and development in alignment with YMCA values.
• Follow child protection and abuse prevention protocols.

Pay rate: $17.34 per hour Hours: M-F 5pm-7pm (possible more due to swim meets)
