Job summary

Small Fish Big Fish Swim School in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an Assistant Swim Instructor Non Certified to join our fun, supportive team. No experience required; we provide paid training and uniforms, and you’ll help deliver safety‑focused lessons to children of all ages.

You’ll work evenings on weekdays and a weekend day, build confidence in the water, learn proper teaching methods, and grow into more advanced roles as you gain experience with our dedicated staff and families.

As a Swim Instructor, you’ll teach students of all ages and skill levels in a positive, encouraging environment. No previous teaching experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive paid training to help you become a confident and successful instructor.

What You’ll Do

• Teach swim lessons to children of all ages and abilities, from Babies & Me classes through advanced swim levels.
• Create a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment where students build confidence in the water.
• Follow the Small Fish Big Fish Swim School teaching philosophy and training methods.
• Demonstrate and assist students with proper swimming techniques, including safely lifting and supporting young swimmers when needed.
• Promote water safety and help prevent accidents by maintaining a safe, supervised environment.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and families.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pool facility.
• Assist with special events, community outreach, and water safety education.

Schedule Requirements

Qualified applicants must be available to work:

• A minimum of two weekday shifts (3:45 PM – 7:30 PM)
• A minimum of one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Your schedule remains consistent from week to week, making it easy to plan around school or other commitments.

• Starting pay: $15.00 per hour, based on qualifications, following paid training.
• Paid training — no prior experience required.
