Qualifications

• Previous experience playing and/or coaching swimming at the high school level or higher.
• First Aid & CPR/AED certification.
• Maine Department of Education valid fingerprinting and CHRC approval.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Principles Certification or Acceptable Equivalent
• NFHS Heat Illness Prevention Certification
• NFHS Concussion in Sport Certification
• NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certification
• NFHS COVID-19 Certification
• Other sport specific certifications as directed by the athletic administration.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and training for individual and team success.
• Ensure a safe competitive and educational environment for all student-athletes.
• Assist in development of the Scarborough Swimming program as assigned by the Department of Athletics.
