Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Castle Pines, Colorado, is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to help swimmers improve techniques and participate in group workouts under the Head Swim Team Coach. The role requires enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment and ensuring pool area cleanliness.

You will assist with registering new participants, lead daily practices, and promote Life Time programs and products. Required qualifications include a HS diploma, 1 year coaching, ASCA/USA Swimming memberships,

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of swim coaching experience.
• Member of ASCA.
• Member of USA Swimming.
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification.
• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher preferred.

You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and head Swim Team Group Workouts. You will help the Head Swim Team Coach register new participants for the Team and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.25 and pays up to $19.25, based on experience and qualifications.
