Job summary

A local aquatics club is seeking an experienced Assistant Swim Coach to develop training programs and coach swimmers of all ages. Responsibilities include conducting practice sessions, guiding swimmers to achieve their goals, and collaborating with other coaches. Ideal candidates will have coaching experience, industry expertise, and relevant certifications. This part-time position requires flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous coaching experience with a proven track record.
• Deep understanding of swimming techniques and training principles.
• Current certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED, First Aid, and USA Swimming (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with active listening.
• Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED and First Aid, and USA Swimming (or willingness).
• Familiarity with Team Unify, Meet Management software, and USA Swimming rules.
• Availability to work flexible evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular practice sessions and provide on-deck coaching.
• Work closely with head coach and other coaches for consistent coaching.
• Guide swimmers in setting and achieving ambitious goals.
• Evaluate swimmers' progress and provide individualized feedback.
• Assist in planning and coordinating home swim meets.

Job Summary

Gold's Aquatics Club is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as a Swim Coach. As a Coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. You will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Coaching Experience: 1-3 years previous coaching experience with a proven track record of success in developing swimmers at various levels.
• Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of swimming techniques, training principles, and competitive strategies.
• Bold Leadership: Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication, oral and written, and interpersonal skills, with a heavy emphasis on listening.
• Certification: Current certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED and First Aid, and USA Swimming (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Technical Excellence: Familiarity with Team Unify, Meet Management software, and USA Swimming rules (if applicable).
• Availability: Work flexible hours, required evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements/Environment

Must be able to work in a wet environment with occasionally high noise levels.

Must be able to move frequently through all areas of the pool deck. Your shifts include continuous engagement and interaction with swimmers and team members.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with occasional travel to team events.

Daily duties include lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time, and moving for prolonged periods of time.

Required to demonstrate or explain proper physical activities, techniques and procedures.
