Job summary

New Haven in Saratoga Springs, UT is seeking a Mentor to support adolescent girls in a residential program. You’ll lead a healthcare team on your shift, deliver guidance, and help with program events calendar.

The role involves hands-on care, medication assistance under supervision, and fostering a safe, growth-oriented environment for students. As part of a team serving ages 14–18 across campuses in Utah, you’ll engage teens in activities, support family-centered healing, and help mentors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years old or older.
• Current Utah driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a Utah State background check.
• Must be willing to make an 8-month minimum commitment.
• Willing to obtain Food Handlers Permit before first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Healthcare Team Leadership: Direct and manage the Mentors on your shift, recognizing and rewarding exceptional work.
• Delegation: Delegate responsibilities to shift members as appropriate.
• On-Shift Orientation: Help provide new hires with on-shift orientation using the provided checklist.
• Effective Communication: Keep the team informed by sharing pertinent events in shift change meetings.
• Interdisciplinary Representation: Represent your shift at the weekly interdisciplinary Treatment Team meeting.
• Safety Preparedness: Conduct safety drills on a quarterly basis as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Hands-On Care: Perform the duties of a Mentor at an exemplary level.
• Program Coordination: Execute the program events calendar.
• Leadership Support: Work with Supervisors, leading Sunday shifts when unavailable.
• Medication Assistance: Assist in the distribution of medications under supervision.
• Engaging Activities: Engage with teens in activities fostering emotional and social well-being.
• Safety Champion: Prioritize safety and well-being of students during activities.
• Mentor Development: Participate in training and development of Mentors.
• Adaptability: Be ready to take on other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 an hour

Schedule: MWF 7am - 3pm + 2 Sundays a month

• Hands-On Care:Perform the duties of a Mentor at an exemplary level, leading by example.
• Program Coordination:Be responsible for executing the program events calendar.
• Leadership Support:Work collaboratively with Supervisors, leading Sunday shifts and other periods when they are unavailable, ensuring continuous care for our students.
• Medication Assistance:Assist in the distribution of medications, ensuring students receive proper care under the guidance of the Supervisor.
• Engaging Activities:Engage with our teen students in various activities, fostering their emotional and social well-being, from cultural outings to outdoor adventures.
• Safety Champion:Prioritize the safety and well-being of our students during activities, nurturing an environment founded on trust and personal growth.
• Mentor Development:Under the Supervisor's guidance, actively participate in the training and development of our Mentors, empowering them to deliver the highest level of care.
• Adaptability:Be ready to take on other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team and program.
