Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide as needed.
• Assist with on-site safety program to maintain a safe work environment.
• Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings and submittals.
• Manage self-perform and subcontractor work including safety, budget, schedule, quality.
• Support Superintendent and Project Manager with daily/weekly reports and schedule updates.
• Understand schedule and critical path; participate in short-term planning.
• Participate in the quality program and inspections; verify materials.
• Interface professionally with client, design representatives, other contractors, and building officials.
• Contribute to business development and leads for future projects.
• Attend monthly superintendent meetings, safety meetings, and trainings.
• Develop skills to become a Superintendent and manage all aspects of a project.

Salary Range : $78,000 - $89,000

Reporting directly to the Superintendent and General Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will help with daily on-site management of construction activities on the project site.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Willing to travel nationwide.
• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Provides technical assistance on the project, interprets contract drawings and submittals.
• Manage select self-perform operations and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, daily safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and weekly schedule updates.
• Understand the project schedule and the critical path.
• Review and provide content for the short-term plan.
• Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials.
• Interface with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and various building officials in a professional manner when required.
• Participate in business development. Create Raving Fans on current projects. Utilize contacts to initiate leads for future projects.
• Participate in monthly superintendent’s meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and periodic training sessions.
• Develop skills required to become a Superintendent and manage and control all aspects of a construction project.

Required Experience

• Has acted as a traveling assistant superintendent previously, preferred.

• Knowledge of safety standards and enforcement.
• OSHA 30 Required.
