Project Summary: The Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Project Superintendent to ensure safe, timely, quality completion of the project, supporting mechanical piping self-perform work.

Travel Requirement: Candidates must be willing to travel/relocate to construction projects throughout the Midwest area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing project charts, schedules, subcontracts, and responsibility listings.
  • Coordinate and monitor Project Engineer training and development.
  • Provide administrative support to project leadership.
  • Analyze and monitor job costs, assist with quarterly profit projections, and labor cost analysis.
  • Manage processing and tracking of owner payment applications.
  • Review and process change requests, change orders, and claims.
  • Implement safety, EEO, and Affirmative Action programs.
  • Lead on-site Total Quality Management processes.
  • Manage project closeout procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of construction project experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • General construction principles knowledge.
  • Experience with mechanical piping.
  • Ability to build relationships with owners and manage field staff.
  • Proven safety commitment.
