Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our Connecticut construction team focused on high-end, ground-up multifamily projects. You will work closely with the Superintendent and Project Management teams to ensure daily field operations run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with project specs.

The successful candidate has 3–5 years of onsite construction experience, strong knowledge of building codes and safety, and proficiency with Procore, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of onsite construction experience on ground-up projects.
• Multifamily project experience heavily preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with CM software such as Procore, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in day-to-day onsite operations for ground-up multifamily developments.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor activities to meet specs, schedules, and safety standards.
• Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
• Communicate with Project Management, design teams, ownership, and subs to resolve field issues.
• Maintain daily logs, reports, and site documentation using Procore or similar tools.
• Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout processes.
• Enforce company and project safety programs for a safe, efficient site.
• Support schedule development and updates with the Superintendent and Project Manager.

The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Superintendent in managing day-to-day onsite operations for ground-up multifamily developments.

Profile

The successful Assistant Superintendent will have:

• Strong working knowledge of building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Navisworks, and Bluebeam (preferred).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to solving problems in the field.

• Competitive Base Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
