Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Phoenix seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on high-profile ground-up projects across office, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

Working with Lead Superintendents and Project Management teams, you will gain hands-on experience, manage subcontractors, read blueprints, track RFIs, and help drive safety, quality, and timely closeout on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial construction field operations.
• Experience on ground-up or TI projects in commercial construction.
• Strong blueprint reading and understanding of trade sequencing.
• Familiarity with modern CM tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site coordination, subcontractor management, material deliveries, and staging layout.
• Monitor project schedules, track critical milestones, and support efficient trade sequencing.
• Enforce safety and quality control with daily site walks and OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate inspections, manage testing, and drive punch lists toward closeout.
• Read blueprints and drawings to flag field issues, track RFIs, and maintain logs.
