Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas, seeks a confident turf professional to join the golf course maintenance team as Assistant Superintendent. This newly created role focuses on staff scheduling, training, and execution of agronomic programs during a major renovation.

The ideal candidate will manage fertilizer and pesticide programs while working closely with the Superintendent and Senior Assistant. The position offers growth during an exciting period of course renewal and improvement.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years golf course maintenance experience.
• Texas pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain promptly.
• Experience leading, training, and supervising staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with technology in day-to-day operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support daily management and maintenance of the golf course and grounds.
• Assist in turf management programs and agronomic practices.
• Help develop and monitor the maintenance budget.
• Supervise scheduling, crew assignments, and equipment distribution.
• Provide hands-on training to crew and oversee safety and performance.
