LeoForce is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (Fully Integrated Developer) in Chicago, IL to oversee on-site field operations and coordinate with subs, vendors, and project teams.

The ideal candidate has mid-level experience in commercial/multifamily construction, a relevant degree, strong reading of drawings, safety focus, and the ability to manage schedules, quality, and communications to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site activities.
  • Strong understanding of plans, specs, and project documentation.

  • Assist with coordination and oversight of subcontractors and on-site activities.
  • Track project progress and report field conditions to the project team.
  • Ensure safety practices and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Job Details
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial, multifamily, residential, or other relevant construction environments; internships or co-op experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Understanding of commercial construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
  • Ability to assist with the coordination and oversight of subcontractors, vendors, and onsite activities.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Ability to assist with quality control and ensure work is being completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and established standards.
  • Familiarity with construction safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite.
  • Ability to track project progress and communicate field conditions, schedule concerns, material needs, and potential issues to the project team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with subcontractors, field personnel, project managers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify potential issues before they become larger project challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and other construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management/project management software.
  • Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite and travel to project locations as required.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and a desire to grow within the construction industry.
