Job Details
- 2+ years of experience in commercial, multifamily, residential, or other relevant construction environments; internships or co-op experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Understanding of commercial construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
- Ability to assist with the coordination and oversight of subcontractors, vendors, and onsite activities.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Ability to assist with quality control and ensure work is being completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and established standards.
- Familiarity with construction safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite.
- Ability to track project progress and communicate field conditions, schedule concerns, material needs, and potential issues to the project team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with subcontractors, field personnel, project managers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify potential issues before they become larger project challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and other construction documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management/project management software.
- Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite and travel to project locations as required.
- Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and a desire to grow within the construction industry.
