Join Us in Making a Difference at DJS! The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) is dedicated to transforming young lives, creating safer communities, and fostering equitable systems. We seek passionate individuals for the role of Assistant Superintendent to make a meaningful impact on youth and the community.
The main purpose is to assist the Facility Administrator in managing and supervising the operation of a 72-bed juvenile facility, including personnel and youth court-ordered into custody.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. recognized by the Maryland State Board of Education.
Experience: Six (6) years supervising youth in a juvenile facility, community program, or correctional setting, including at least two (2) years overseeing staff working with youth.
Note: An Associate’s degree may substitute for up to 1 year of experience; a Bachelor’s degree may substitute for up to 2 years.
