Job summary

McGough is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to partner with the Superintendents on planning and overseeing all aspects of a project. From pre‑construction to post‑construction, the role emphasizes supporting field operations and coordinating with subcontractors to meet schedule and budget goals.

The role also focuses on safety, Lean methodologies, and leadership of the project team, with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3–5 years of construction‑related experience.
• Two‑ or four‑year degree in construction (preferred).
• 3–5 years of field‑related experience (preferred).
• Current OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
• Experience mentoring others (preferred).
• Bilingual with the ability to communicate in both Spanish and English (preferred).
• LEED AP or other green‑building certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pre‑Construction: Assist with all pre‑construction tasks such as site logistics plan and safety plan.
• Construction: Oversee field staff and subcontractors; review work plans and logistics with Superintendents.
• Budget & Schedule: Help manage project schedule and budget; monitor cost projections.
• Quality & Documentation: Support quality control and keep site documents up to date.
• Leadership & Safety: Lead Lean practices, attend safety meetings and ensure OSHA rules are met.
