Job summary

Tailwind Applied Sciences in Oklahoma City is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support daily construction operations on assigned projects. You will coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, material deliveries, and safety compliance to keep work progressing safely, on time, and within budget.

This role requires reading drawings, monitoring quality, maintaining schedules, and communicating updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily site operations and workforce coordination.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and company standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
• Conduct daily site inspections for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Help maintain project schedules and identify potential delays.
• Track manpower, equipment, and production progress.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Participate in site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Communicate project updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Assist in resolving field issues and conflicts.
• Verify completion of work before inspections and project milestones.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, documentation, and photographs.
• Support punch list completion and project closeout activities.
