Job summary

Mission Critical Interior Solutions, Inc is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on large commercial and mission-critical projects. You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate across scopes, and ensure subcontractors perform to project standards.

Responsibilities include leading field activities, maintaining schedules, managing documentation, and driving safety culture. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or similar role in commercial or mission-critical construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and OSHA safety requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and phases of work simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office Suite.

• Direct foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure operational excellence.
• Develop and drive the project schedule in coordination with the Superintendent and PM.
• Coordinate all subcontract work and review external documentation.
• Lead safety meetings and champion a strong safety culture.
• Mentor assistant superintendents, foremen, and labor staff.
• Ensure work is performed safely, to plans, specs, and quality requirements.
• Oversee inspections, testing, and deficiency correction in the field.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, and progress reports.

Position Overview

Assist the Superintendent with all field operations within their assigned area. Assist with Coordination across all scopes, manage reports, maintains the area schedule. Works alongside peers; Senior Project Manager, QAQC Manager, and Safety Manager. Responsible for making sure subcontractors are performing. Subcontractors are treated as Foremen with the same authority structure. Handles internal and external field documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in all responsibilities of the Superintendent
• Assists in leading and overseeing all field activities, documentation, and operations on one or multiple large/complex projects
• Ensure Foreman maintain accurate records
• Review and approve external documentation
• Direct foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure operational excellence
• Serve as primary field authority
• Develop and drive the project schedule in close coordination with the Superintendent, Senior Project Manager/Project Manager
• Coordinate all subcontract work
• Lead and conduct safety meetings and champion a strong safety culture
• Lead, mentor, and develop assistant superintendents, foreman and labor staff
• Ensure all work is performed safely, cleanly, and in accordance with client expectations
• Ensure all work meets applicable plans, specifications, and quality requirements
• Oversee inspections, testing, and deficiency correction in the field
• Plan and manage all site logistics including laydown areas, access and material flow
• Schedule all material deliveries and close coordination with management team
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, and progress reports
• Track manpower, productivity, and field changes
• Report on all field changes and field directives to Project Manager
• Lead final inspections and ensure readiness for all inspections and turnover
• Ensure work is completed safely, cleanly, and to client expectations

Expected Working Hours

• Hours may be site and project specific, with additional hours and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
