Assistant Superintendent – Houston Division

Growing commercial construction and development firm of 20 years seeking a driven, and ambitious Assistant Superintendent for our Houston division team. The Assistant Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects. This position reports to the Project Superintendent.

• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with Project Managers, Project Superintendents, project team, clients, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, and governmental agencies.
• Assist with setting up job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
• Participate in the review of all project documents for constructability and content.
• Maintain and update project records including RFIs, RFPs, and ASIs.
• Assist with creating and enforcing a site-specific action plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Coordinate subcontractors.
• Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.
• In collaboration with the Superintendent perform daily job site walks and submit reports.
• Conduct and/or attend project staff meetings.
• Assist with the management of job site production and performance.
• Use project management and scheduling software effectively.
