Shell Bay in Hallandale, Florida seeks a Full-time Assistant Superintendent to support daily golf course maintenance and participate in budgeting and capital planning. The role emphasizes learning, contribution, and growth within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property organization.

Ideal candidates bring 3–4 years of related experience, a degree in agronomy or related field, and a Florida pesticide applicators license (licensing assistance provided).

Formación

• Bachelor's degree, associate degree (AA), or equivalent from a four- or two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Degree preference in agronomy, horticulture, plant science, or soil science.
• Three to four years related experience and/or training.
• Florida pesticide applicators license required; employer will assist in obtaining license.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the Superintendent to ensure the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans are maintained and followed.
• Supervise and assist maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Ensure maintenance equipment is properly maintained.
• Assist in the procurement of supplies and materials and ensure costs remain within budgetary limitations.
• Keep records of annual and monthly cultural practices.
• Follow sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possible.
• Reconcile and provide timely coding of invoices, payroll, and other required documents.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, including compliance with government regulations.
• Manage department members including Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician.
• Provide effective orientation and training to new associates and develop ongoing training programs.
• Monitor business volume forecast and plan accordingly in manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
