Job summary

Huseman Builders, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support commercial construction projects across the Texas Panhandle. You will coordinate daily site activities, maintain schedules, and ensure safety and efficiency on the jobsite.

The ideal candidate has substantial carpentry knowledge, strong organization, and effective communication skills, and is comfortable with physical labor in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction is a must.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and meet project deadlines.
• Substantial carpentry skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily job site operations and scheduling.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, deliveries, and materials.
• Help ensure work is completed on time and according to plans and specifications.
• Communicate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and crews.
• Complete daily reports and assist with project documentation.
• Perform carpentry work, as needed, including framing, installation, and repairs.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project specifications.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Supervise and maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Follow company safety procedures and wear proper PPE.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Superintendent to support commercial construction projects throughout the Texas Panhandle. This position works closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Managers to help coordinate daily jobsite activities, maintain schedules, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate must have substantial carpentry knowledge and experience. They must be organized, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. They must not have any issues with performing manual labor if needed.
