Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role trains under an Elite or Master Stylist for about three months, then gradually services guests of their own while growing sales and skills.

Ideal candidates will have a cosmetology license and a passion for beauty, guest service, and learning new techniques, products, and trends in a fast-paced salon environment.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Knowledge of latest salon techniques for haircutting, coloring, styling, texture, makeup and related services.
• Ability to work under mentorship and learn advanced skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales.
• Support mentor Stylist in achieving sales and productivity goals for hair services and haircare products.
• Perform hair services and makeup applications after three months in the role.
• Assist with foils, color applications, blowouts and styling.
• Maintain sanitation and follow safety procedures; keep the salon clean and well organized.
