Job summary

Ulta Beauty in New York is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary position prepares talent for a stylist role, mentored by Elite/Master Stylists during the first months.

After three months, you’ll begin servicing guests of your own, focusing on guest service, productivity, and compliance. Ongoing training covers cutting, coloring, styling, and related services.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Basic understanding of the latest salon techniques and products.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals for retail and service sales.
• Support mentor Stylist in achieving sales and productivity goals for hair services and products.
• After month three, perform hair services and related beauty treatments.
• Demonstrate products to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Assist with in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
