Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, assess hair care needs and recommend products and services in a fast-paced salon within our stores. This temporary role trains under Elite or Master stylists for the first 3 months, with progression to servicing guests of your own in months 4–6.

You will learn cutting, color, styling, and makeup applications while building guest relationships and contributing to sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Ability to perform haircutting, color, styling, makeup and related services.
• Knowledge of salon equipment and chemical products.
• Strong communication and guest-relations skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, building clientele.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to meeting store goals.
• Support mentor Stylist and progress to services for own guests after 3 months.
• Perform hair design, cuts, color, texture, styling, makeup (where applicable) and related services.
• Assist with product demonstrations and in-store events to drive guest engagement.
