General Summary & Scope

The Assistant Stylist is responsible for engaging with guests, consulting with them on their hair care needs, and recommending products and services. This is a temporary position aimed at preparing talent for a stylist role, focusing on performance, guest service, and operational procedures. Mentorship is provided by an Elite or Master Stylist for the first 3 months, with increased responsibilities including servicing guests in months 4-6.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Deliver exceptional guest service and support sales goals related to retail, services, guest loyalty, and shrink reduction.
• Support mentor Stylist in meeting sales and productivity goals, including product recommendations, hair services, and retail sales.
• Perform hair services such as cuts, color, styling, treatments, and more after months three.
• Conduct product demonstrations and support in-store events and promotions.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins, under mentorship.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote loyalty programs and app benefits to guests.

Process

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Follow sanitation and infection control procedures.
• Use booking and client management systems effectively.
• Maintain store cleanliness and operational standards.
• Attend training and meetings for professional development.
• Adhere to dress code and protect company assets.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
