General Summary & Scope

The Assistant Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This temporary position prepares talent for a stylist role, focusing on performance, guest service, and process adherence. Mentorship from an Elite or Master Stylist occurs in the first 3 months, with responsibilities expanding to servicing guests in months 4-6. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and willingness to learn are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Deliver exceptional guest service and support store goals in sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrinkage.
• Support mentor Stylist in achieving sales and productivity targets through recommendations, services, and retail.
• Perform hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, and more after three months.
• Demonstrate products and support in-store events to enhance guest experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain regular attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently under mentorship.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote loyalty programs and app benefits to guests.

Process

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Follow sanitation, infection control, and service protocols.
• Use booking and client systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain store cleanliness.
• Attend training and meetings for professional growth.
• Adhere to dress code and protect company assets.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
