Job summary

Stretch Zone in New York is seeking an Assistant Studio Manager to oversee daily operations, drive membership growth, and lead a high‑performing team of practitioners and front‑desk staff.

You’ll greet members, manage schedules, support sales targets, and ensure an outstanding member experience with our practitioner‑assisted stretching protocol. This role offers base pay plus commission and opportunities to advance to Studio Manager as we expand.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in gym or fitness studios.
• Retail sales experience with cash handling and KPI familiarity.
• A genuine passion for health, wellness, and helping others succeed.

Responsibilities

• Open and tidy studio to welcome members.
• Greet members, check in, and ensure they feel cared for.
• Lead by example: manage schedule, answer phones, delegate tasks.
• Assist to stretch clients to retain members and grow business.
• Support team in meeting membership sales goals by communicating the value of practitioner‑assisted stretching.
• Track performance metrics and help achieve daily/monthly goals.
• Build a culture of excellence, accountability, and service.

A Day in the Life

• Your day starts by opening the studio and ensuring everything is clean, organized, and ready to welcome members.
• As members arrive, you greet them by name, check them in, and make sure each person feels comfortable and cared for.
• Throughout the day, you lead by example—checking the schedule, answering phones, and following up on missed appointment, and delegating tasks.
• Assist as needed to stretch clients in order to retain members, build relationships and convert new clientele to grow business
• You support the team in meeting membership sales goals by demonstrating how to communicate the value of practitioner-assisted stretching.
• Between appointments, you're tracking performance metrics, reviewing KPIs, and ensuring the studio is hitting daily and monthly goals alongside the Studio Manager. If a member has a question or concern, you're there to resolve it with professionalism and a personal touch.
