Assistant Strength & Performance Coach - Performance Edge - Leesburg, VA

Performance Edge is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Strength and Performance Coach to provide group and one-to-one coaching and instruction to clients based on individual, sport, position, and seasonal needs. The coach will demonstrate scientifically proven, safe lifting protocols and exercises aimed at injury prevention, performance enhancement, and health.

Responsibilities Include
  • Assist the Director/Head Sports Performance Coach in program development and implementation
  • Train amateur and professional athletes, including fitness, health, and wellness education
  • Establish baseline assessments through testing and fitness evaluations
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and local health professionals (orthopedics, physical therapists, rehab centers, etc.)
  • Engage in marketing, sales, and speaking engagements
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Handle point of sale responsibilities
  • Oversee facility upkeep, maintenance, and cleaning
Requirements
  • 1 to 5 years of coaching experience with groups, individuals, and athletes from diverse sports and fitness backgrounds
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or Sport Science
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, maintained throughout employment
  • Certifications from NSCA (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Level 1, or ACSM are encouraged
  • Passion for helping others, goal-oriented, with strong work ethic and a commitment to ongoing education
  • Ability to physically conduct and assist in training sessions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
