Overview

Our retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is vital to delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The ASM is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with the SM and company management to manage, maintain, and supervise day-to-day retail operations at the store location.

Responsibilities

Support for Sales Associates:

  • Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
  • Support SM and team members, providing positive and constructive feedback for professional growth.
  • Assist with work procedures and policies, ensuring team understanding and adherence.
  • Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Be accessible and responsive to team questions, suggestions, and concerns; help resolve conflicts.
  • Lead by example and work with staff to handle high-volume store circumstances.

Sales and Customer Service:

  • Use customer and team feedback to improve the customer experience.
  • Monitor daily sales performance to ensure targets are met.

Daily Store Operations:

  • Maintain compliance with regulations; organize reporting and record-keeping.
  • Assist with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure the sales floor is stocked.
  • Coordinate inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Log and dispose of expired/damaged/returned products per regulations.
  • Assist with deliveries and ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate daily via email and logs with the team.
  • Comply with HR policies, including confidentiality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications
  • CannSell license from AGCO.
  • Clean Criminal Background check.
  • 4-5+ years retail management experience.
  • Ability to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO within the first month.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing in a Unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of Cannabis plants, strains, and regulations by AGCO.
  • Achievement-oriented, organized, flexible, empathetic, detail-oriented, proactive.
  • Strong leadership, management, communication, problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations.
