POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, emphasizing our values and guiding principles in all operations. Responsibilities include managing sales, asset protection, and human resources to ensure an excellent customer experience and profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Culture
  • Analyze sales reports and KPIs; execute business and sales strategies with the Store Manager.
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Control payroll and supply budgets.
  • Oversee operational activities like scheduling, inventory, and cash handling.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and loss prevention measures; train associates accordingly.
  • Manage inventory, visual presentation, and store maintenance to reflect the brand.
  • Motivate and coach the sales team to meet sales and productivity goals.
Building High Performing Teams
  • Motivate, inspire, and develop the store team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Communicate effectively to lead positive change and seek personal development opportunities.
Customer Experience
  • Promote and model exceptional personal service and omni-channel experience.
  • Utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly.
Talent Management
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing team members.
  • Support training initiatives and assess performance.
  • Address HR issues promptly and recognize outstanding employee performance.

Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may vary across brands.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2+ years in retail management.
  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability to company technology.
  • Proven customer service and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of store operations and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Walking/Standing: 67-100% of shift.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.: 1-33% of shift.
  • Climbing: 34-66% of shift.
